This policy explains how Krisztian Builder collects and uses your personal information when you visit this website, ask us for a quote or work with us. We only collect what we need, and we never sell your information.
Who we are
Krisztian Builder is the trading name of Krisztian Berki, a self-employed sole trader based in Manchester, England. Krisztian Berki is the data controller for your personal information.

What we collect
When you contact us by phone, text, email or through the quote form, we may collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- your postcode or the address of the property where the work would take place
- details of the job, including any photos you send us
- if we carry out work for you: quotes, invoices, payment records and our correspondence with you
We do not ask for special category information such as health details, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
How we use it and why

We will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share your information when it is needed to run our business, for example with:
- our email and phone providers, who carry our messages
- our website host, Netlify, which serves this website
- our accountant, for bookkeeping and tax
- trusted subcontractors or suppliers working on your job, only the details they need
Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We may also share information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer and job records: six years after the end of the financial year the work was completed, to meet tax and legal requirements.
Cookies
Cookies and similar storage are small pieces of information saved by your browser. When you first visit the site we ask for your choice.

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google. This does not set cookies.
You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser's stored data.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, where we don't need to keep it by law
- object to or ask us to limit how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
